Aramaic is one of the Biblical languages that you should know if you want to read the Book of Daniel and a few other parts of the Bible.
It is also used in the Gemara extensively.
Most people just jump in and since Aramaic is written like Hebrew, the pronunciation is the same and for the most part the grammar is similar.
There are a few important differences and that is where these two books could come in handy for you.
This is published by Zondervan, and it does a good job of Biblical Aramaic, grammar and structure.
This book is much more comprehensive, and covers all the different versions of Aramaic that you are likely to come across.
I use either of these books, depending upon what the student needs.
Good luck in Learning Aramaic!
