The title of the book really means: A telephone book of Hebrew, and that is kinda what it is, it teaches the basics of Hebrew without transliteration, so that you are reading Hebrew right at the start!
I have used this book to teach Hebrew, it give a great overview of the how to read the Hebrew Alphabet, and then some short dialogues to help with reading.

I would say that if you took lessons with me, we would do a lesson a session, and we will study for 10 sessions, give or take. There are seven units in the book. The later units are longer and might take more than one lesson.
Good luck with your Beginning Hebrew lessons!
