And the land was utterly void all upon the deep, and the sprirt of God hovered over the water.
וְהָאָ֗רֶץ הָיְתָ֥ה תֹ֨הוּ֙ וָבֹ֔הוּ וְחֹ֖שֶׁךְ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י תְהֹ֑ום וְר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֔ים מְרַחֶ֖פֶת עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הַמָּֽיִם׃

This is the second verse of the Torah. What is interesting here is that we have disorder and void. The first verse we have an announcement of the creation, and now we are taking back a step and finding out what it was like before the creation. What was the world like? There was worse than nothing. It was disordered nothing. How can that be? There must have been material around, but it wasn't in any form nothing useful.
The one constant in our lives is God. Hashem has always been there, will always be there, and is here now.
When things go wrong, and they will, you can trust in God. Hashem was directing the void in the beginning and will also be there at the end. The Spirit of Hashem is hovering over everything at all times in all ways.
I hope that you now have more to think about when you read this second verse of the Torah.
